PS
Seriously do not run the batteries down low. Just shallow discharge and recharge DAILY until the event. Good luck with it. And keep us posted.

That's the plan Scotty.... at least till we get to the rally then I'll try to control myself but I'm sure they'll get bottomed out a couple of times.

Based on the results so far would have to agree with the allergy theory...

Initial SOC = 36.1v and took 2 hours to charge
1st charge cycle = 36.7v took 4 hours to charge
2nd charge cycle = 36.7v took 3.5 hours to charge
3rd charge cycle = 36.7v took 4 hours to charge
4th charge cycle = 36.6v took 3 hours to charge
5th charge cycle = 36.6v took 3 hours to charge

Just out of curiosity, have you checked the charger "on charge" voltage near the end of the charge cycle ?? It's possible that your charger is shutting down too soon and not gassing the batteries long enough. Finishing voltage should be around 45 V.

Curious if the charger is auto shut off or you are manually cutting it off at those readings?

charger is a total charge. It cuts off automatically when it gets done. The voltages displayed are SOC, basically I get home from work.. run the cart a little, plug it into the charger and set the dial to "start". Get up the next day, go to work, come home and record the voltage and charge time, then start all over again. The charge times are recorded from the timer on the charger dial so they are not exact and I'm not necessarily always draining the batts to the same level so not real sure what good the time data is... but its there anyways. If I measure the voltage right after the charger cuts off (only a couple times just to see if it was working) the surface charge measures in the 38+volt range... Never measured directly off of the charger before to see the output. All voltages are read at the pack charging connection just to get an overview, but now you guys got me wondering about the stupid charger, I'll borrow a friends and see if I get some different readings.

Thanks for something else to test when I'm 7 days away from a huge rally. hehehehe
