Looking for 1st Golf cart
Hello all,
I'm looking at buying my first golf cart and I'm leaning towards an electric model. My question is what should I be looking out for while checking out used electrical models. I know I need to be weary of the battery's and how old they are but, what else should I have my eye on while looking into my next toy? Any advice would be greatly appriciated. i currently have looked at a 1994 model with lift kit new paint CD/am/fm radio and looks to be in pretty good condition from the posted pictures just wanting to know what I need to focus on as far as electrical system, motor etc.....I'm kind of leaning towards the EZ Go models just like the look and accesories avaiable but, I have an opened mind. Thanks to all replies in advance. Chris |

Re: Looking for 1st Golf cart
Kinda depends on what you want to do with your golf cart or what you want it to do ? Stay with the 3 major makers and look at the rust factor depending upon where you live. Privately owned carts are better than old golf course rentals....

Re: Looking for 1st Golf cart
I have lived 'back east' and rust is a problem. I would crawl under any used vehicle I was considering with a sharp screw driver or chisel and see how much rust can be chipped or scraped away in the corners etcetera. Anything coming off that you can pick up...is a problem. Go to the next one. Any late model cart should suit your needs. Pick a color

Welcome to the forum ou812cd1....................
Batteries are the number one thing to consider when buying a cart. 1> How old are the batteries. Check the dates on the batteries. |
