2022 ICON Motor Controller
Did they change the controller on the 2022?
Tried to speed up a friends today, they just got a new 2022 this morning - the standard NEOS software would not read the parameters in from the cart. I tried it on an older cart right after, and it worked fine, so my computer and cable are working properly... |

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
My 2020 was 350amp and my 2021 was 450amp and I was able to program both of them just fine.
I can't imagine they would switch to a completely different controller, wiring harness, and all of that, but maybe? You can just take the one screw off the back plastic panel under the seat, then there are like 6 or 8 screws covering the controller in a plastic box. (See here) and take a look. Otherwise, somebody else with a '22 will have to figure it out or perhaps calling Icon or a dealer? |

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
Yes they have switched the controller completely along with the software and even the cord that worked on the old setup is no longer used. The connection (from cord to cart) is the same . But there is now four wires instead of three and also no can usb needed. As well as they are running all new software.

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
All the new carts we have seen come in at 19 MPH like what the plate on the cart says...

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
I test drove a 2021 icon 40L yesterday and got it up to 23mph before I ran out of road and had to slow down.

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
My cart's plate says 19mph, it came at 25mph (my state's legal limit) from the dealer, and I've got it turned up to 37'ish at the highest.
I'm really curious what's inside the 2022's if it really is different. |

Re: 2022 ICON Motor Controller
I'm a day away from cart being delivered to my dealer. Will not be surprised if they come back now and state they can't figure out how to update the RPMs. Will know soon enough and report back.
I also bought the cable, hopefully we can figure this out. I know Atrain likes a challenge |
