You'll upgrade the motor How long? Since you'll have the controller in & working, knowing you could be going faster with just a new motor, 2 weeks & you'll want to upgrade,& mull it over a few weeks. 4 weeks & you'll be ordering the new motor My guess In 5 weeks you have an upgraded motor We're waiting anxiously too : |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
My stock motor lasted 2 seasons with fairly light use, before it started acting up.

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
So just got everything in today!! Installed the new controller, solenoid and 2g cables. Turned key on........drum roll..........And it worked!
Then it happened........Not much power at all. The batteries are new and charged. I hooked up everything according to diagram and double checked. The F/R was switched, but in the manual that came with the controller, it said if it's switched then to just switch the F1 and F2 wires which I did. So now it goes in the right direction just not very fast at all. What else can I do? Please help |

Get your laptop out. Cause that's what's gonna be next. See why it's not working correctly. Also, posting a pic of your battery wiring & also controller wiring couldn't hurt.

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
Ok, hooked up computer and downloaded software.
On the MONITOR screen its showing 48.8 volts on the battery and only 24 volts to the motor. IS THAT WHY I'M GOING HALF SPEED? Actually going slower than half speed. It's not showing any error codes. I'll post pics of wiring tomorrow. |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
What was the "amps to motor" at full speed? Oh yeah, charge those batteries. What was battery voltage at full speed?

Do these numbers look right in the picture?
Also monitoring the cart at full throttle: Battery voltage is 49 Battery current is fluctuating at 18-20 Motor voltage is 23.8 Motor current fluctuates at 35-49 Field current stayed at 7.5 Computer is not showing any error codes. Cart just isnt running fast. |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
!!!!!!!
Pretty sure I've figured it out. After reading another thread on here that sounded just like my situation, I bypassed the speed sensor and the cart flies!! After more reading about that post and more checking, I found the culprit. I have a couple of bent pins on the controller. I haven't checked the schematics, but I bet one pin controls the speed sensor causing me to go slow. Now I have to figure out how to straighten that pin out without breaking it. |

Re: 2007 G29 YDREE does nothing
Also make sure you have the controller programmed for the correct speed sensor. If you log a run it will tell you what RPM it thinks you are getting. Some speed sensors are 4 pole and some are 8 pole. That makes a factor of 2 in the indicated RPM of the motor.
