Replace Controller in Yamaha G16e
The faulty controller is an AXE4845. The label on it mentions a 5K -0 throttle. The cross reference guide shows a 0-1K throttle for a G-16e and AXE 4834 and 4844 as appropriate controllers. (I have not yet measured the resistance of the throttle and wonder if it is an important parameter?? ) There are AXE 4834s (and 4844s) available online at reasonable prices. It appears that the controller market is a jungle. (By the way, my use is in a retirement community with very gentle hills and the speed limit is 15mph) Any advice about controller choices and proceeding?
Thanks in advance. |

Re: Replace Controller in Yamaha G16e
Get a SR48400 from Scottyb at www.cartsunlimited.net ,best deal on the net. The sticker indicating 5k-0 indicates that controller was originally configured for a Clubcar, but that's not too significant, because anyone with a laptop could change the settings in the controller to the 0-1k throttle used on a G16. Also, don't bother searching for another AXE, they are no longer produced, and the new SR is better anyway.
