diagnosing intermittent issue
I'm at a loss here, I don't know where to go next
2007 YDRE, G29 New batteries, all read good New alltrax controller xct400 New bigger solinoid All was good, now I have had four failures where the cart loses mobility I can feel it when it happens, always when release accelerator and can feel the sepex release and go into a full coast. Then nothing Good click off pedal, run tow switch doesn't click but it cycles the light on the controller. Some times I can regain function after rocking cart back and forth. Last time I could not recover, so I pushed it into garage. This weekend I went out and it works fine again. I did nothing, didn't touch it for a week, no additional charge I can't use it like this, as I don't know when it will fail, and if it will recover or not I don't know how to diagnose something that comes on with no warning and goes away with no action Any ideas? |

Check speed sensor magnet on end of motor- see if it has cracked and fell a part

Re: diagnosing intermittent issue
Checked all battery cables, cleaned and reassembled. Made it to end of driveway and it burned up the fuse between positive and solenoid. Is it possible the fuse was faulty and intermittently failing before burning up completely?

Re: diagnosing intermittent issue
I think most fuses just burn up and are dead. I would replace the fuse and have several spares handy. If you keep burning up fuses obviously there's something else going on. Good luck.

Re: diagnosing intermittent issue
I put all new 2 gauge cables on. 250 amp fuse between positive and solinoid. Voltage all checks out. Run tow switch triggers the green light on controller. Hit the pedal, click and it blows the fuse.
I'm starting to think it's the new big solinoid. I made sure I double wrenched it when I installed it so the posts didn't spin. Any problem reinstalling the stock solinoid with the alltrax 400 controller? I know it's not ideal but will take a variable out of the equation. |

Re: diagnosing intermittent issue
Finally solved it by buying a new gas powered EZGO
Put the cart back to stock. Expensive and frustrating lesson that the alltrax wasn’t dependable |
