Default Should cart move in tow mode??

As a newbie i have questions.

I have been redoing an 05 G22, last night i went to turn it around and not thinking i had it in tow mode since i just replace the motor, hopped right up there and spun her around. Then thought, hey dummy its in tow mode, but it still went.

Is this normal??

So this morning i was out there working on this PIA cart and was looking for a washer that fell, so being in tow mode STILL, i pushed it backwards and heard the solenoid kick in as if i was pushing the pedal to go but i wash just pushing on the tire

Is this normal??

Thanks in advanced

Well I found that wires on switch were removed and butt jointed together, does it have to be run/ tow switch or can I get a toggle from auto parts store, it only has the 2 wires so wasn’t sure. Thanks

The switch is supposed to be a high quality silver contact switch, but in reality any SPST switch will work (but may not last as long). The reason for the fancy silver switch? It handles a big inrush to fill the controller capacitors when it's turned on. The higher quality you put on there, the better.
