G16 idle
Just put my engine back together and got it started today and was wondering if it should idle or just cut off when you take your foot off the pedel. Was not running when I bought it so I don't know how it does, use to elec. Thanks for all yalls help....

I had the same idea when I first got mine not knowing how it worked. Those engines start and run so good there is no reason to make them idol. Just make sure your carb is adjusted properly. Mine was not and you couldnt put around with it. It was all or nothing.

Thanks that helped now it is spitting at me cleaned the carb real good twice and is still doing it like the float valve won't seat and shut the gas off, any suggestions. I have about had it.

EASY Reel one thing over looked when people clean the carb is the little idle jet that is exposed on the top of the carb. I keep a set of (cheap) welding tip cleaners on hand to clean them and the passages with. Spit back is often a problem when coming off a lean idle, try cleaning and adjusting that idle circuit again. GOOD LUCK
