Default 88 club car loosing power

i have an 88 gas club car. i started having probls this year. i can golf 5 holes and it runs fine then all the sudden it looses power. i have to choke it to get it to go, let off the choke and it looses power. i have replaced air filter, all fuel lines, fuel pump, spark plug, carb looks good. it seems to run good until it gets hot and maybe vapor locks or something goofy in the air exchange since i have to choke it to get it going.

any advice would be very appreciated

welcome, key phrase is carb looks good..........you need to take the carb off tear it down and go over every peice of it.........use an air compressor and carb cleaner and clean every hole in every jet.......don,t miss anything and take your time.......you,ll be surprised.....................

Maybe you could confirm that you still have a good fuel delivery when the cart acts up?

shadow-i did find a gas leak between the fuel filter and carb, i think it is the hose(i didnt replace this piece). i am going to try replacement and see if this works. i looked at several club cars and one had 1/4" fuel line(clear plastic) for this piece and one had the black rubber tubing. could you tell me which one it should be the plastic or the rubber. mine has rubber tubing now. i will go thru the carb completely. thanks for your help. also my black rubber hose from filter to carb is only about 3-4 inches. seems that it should be longer to get filter away from governor linkage.

thank you

change the clear stuff to the black rubber hose, you didn,t say anything about the fuel filters did you change them? if not change them there might be 2 but if they are the little white ones replace with a clear one.......make sure you get the one thats right by the carb......also make sure that little screw is still in the top of the carb...thats a jet and cart will run without it but it runs crappy a lot of times they work loose if its still there make sure its tight.....................................
