Brakes lock when accelerator released help
I just put a 4" lift kit on my electric marathon. I can accelerate forward and reverse no problem. The brakes work normal in reverse. While driving forward when I let off the accelerator, whether a little or all the way, the brakes seize immediately without me even hitting the brakes (quite a surprising jolt) Any help is appreciated. I have mechanical skills I am new to the cart world.

not a pro,just an observer but check your rear axle.If u-bolts are loose or crooked it will cause this.Trust me I know.

Thanks. I did notice the axle is not exactly perfect but I didn't think it would cause this big of a problem. I will certainly try to align it better.

Someone that actualy knows what they are talking about will chime in,but I had the same problem at one time and that was my fix

Another one is the short (drivers side) brake cable being too short.

I am having the same issue....plus it smelt as if something was burning...any resolutions?
