Re: Are There Any Battery Fillers That Stop at Correct Level?
He is talking about sitting in his drive not those auto fillers or filling batteries while driving

Re: Are There Any Battery Fillers That Stop at Correct Level?
When I was in high school the owner of the service station on the corner would let me hang out there. Maybe you remember SERVICE stations were where they'd clean the windshield and check the oil, radiator, battery with a fill-up. They all used the automatic jug. Like all automatic systems, they worked good until they failed. And sooner or later they all failed, whether it was 6 months or 6 years. The real question was how much damage was done before you noticed they were failing.
I prefer the old Mark 1.0 eyeball and a mustard squirter. (Confession- the water for the service station battery jug came from the pump island hose. ) . |

The automatic jug works just fine. I used one until I got rid of the problem in a different way. (Lithium)

Re: Are There Any Battery Fillers That Stop at Correct Level?
I worked at one of those service station (a long time ago, Sohio), any how I've tried the baster etc, my way is just use a small (diameter) funnel with a long filler tube, then you can poor right from the bottle or use a water bottle, very simple and easy, doing this over the years you know when to stop, maybe use an led head flashlight. My $.02, I'm sure everyone here checks the level enough to spot an issue.
