Going from 36 to 48V - Controller changes?
Hey folks, I'm taking my old EZGO TXT from 36V to 48V. A couple years ago, I got a controller upgrade package from Scottyb. I got the Alltrax SPM 48500 with the HD solenoid, HD F/R switch, and 2 gauge cables. I've just ordered the 48V charger from him. I have the old 6V batteries pulled and the new 8V batteries sitting in place ready to go.
I want to make sure I don't mess anything up before hooking it all up. Are there any changes that need to be made to my controller before connecting everything? Thanks for any input. |

No changes to the controller or wiring. Replace the 250 Ω precharge resistor with a 470 Ω resistor and that's it - enjoy the boost
