Default Rocker Switch Panel

Quick question, for those of you that have installed rocker switches using the pictured rocker switch panel...After cutting the hole for the panel and installing it, how do you tighten it up? I cut the hole the right size but it's kind of sloppy front to back, if that makes sense.

The thickness is probably the issue. Maybe a gasket of double sided tape. Either that or silicone???

Yes, the dash isn't thick enough to keep the panel tight once it's snapped into the cutout. I don't think tape is going to last and I hate to silicone it, as I may want to remove it in the future. I'm stumped.

I offered silicone as solution to epoxy. If you are handy maybe make a piece of material to make up for the gap??? Aluminum or plastic.

Carling sells gaskets for use in thinner panel mounting if those are Contura series switches.

As on yachts, I would go with silicone...

To form the gasket, use a potato cut to the right shape

For future, you can easily remove it with acetone (check first your dash and the panel if they can stand it on an hidden part)
