Is that darkened socket in the center of the bottom row the one that has the damaged wire? If so, that is the main - wire from the battery pack into the cart harness. It must have been overloaded.

yes that is the one that looks burnt to me in the plastic plug . the wire outside the plug looks fine. but the wire does not connect to anything on the run plug. there are actuly no black wire on the run plug. that's what is confusing me

ok my brother in-law just sent me a picture with what could be the issue. The solenoid is tagged as being 36 volt and the cart is 48 volt. could that be the issue all along?

Nope, 48v Rxv always used a 36v solenoid.

The burned connection was likely from too many carts being towed, it is part of the power chain used to release the brakes. Not really an issue for anything else. But if they overloaded it, it could have blown the second fuse, the one that powers the Motor Brake. Check the fuses I mentioned earlier. If the first fuse was blown, you would not be getting the solenoid click on powerup. The second fuse being blown will prevent the powerup test from passing at the brake test. A shorted motor brake will blow that fuse as well.

If the fuses are ok, next thing to check would be the motor brake itself. Unplug the 2 pin connection at the drivers end of the motor and on the 200 ohm scale measure the resistance of the motor brake coil. Spec is 25.5 to 28 ohms DC. Battery problems and motor brake issues are the most common problems with RXVs

ok guys , checked the fuses and they are all good. One thing im not sure I have mentioned is I know the batteries are good 12.8 with a load test of around 1200 amps . but the fuel electric gauge shows empty with the orange warning light on. I know someone on here said that the controller isn't seeing the batteries as a possible for this. any thoughts on this. really hate to take this somewhere but im running out of options here

BobBoyce knows these carts (RXV) inside and out, might benefit you to follow his direction...
