Default Do I need to upgrade controller for 48v conversion

I have a 36V 2000 TXT series cart.
I am planning on upgrading from 36v to 48v running ( 6V batteries.
I have a Curtis controller 25864G05 in it currently.
Tried running it on 48V but it did not work.
Ran it on 42V and it worked.
Do I need to upgrade the controller or solenoid?
Is there a way to make this work without upgrading anything?
I'm not looking to spend a whole lot I already have the batteries and cables.
New to this looking for any pics or whatever that people have done.
Seems like there are lots of posts of people doing this but I don't know if or what I have to do to make it work on 48v.
I have 9 brand new 6v batteries that I traded a boat for that why I'm doing this. Id use all 9 if I could LOL.

To convert that cart from 36v to 48v you must:

Install a 48v compatible controller
Install a 48v compatible solenoid
Purchase a 48v charger
Install new diode and resistor on the new solenoid

None of this is cheap, except the diode and resistor.

To reiterate, Your stock controller is not compatible with 48v.
