Default Re: how do i change a 5k-0 vglide to 0-5k

I realize this thread is a few months old but I have a similar situation. I had to replace my busted AXE-4865 and bought a new SR-48600. Upon installation, I noticed the new SR controller is a 0-5K based on the decal stuck on it. My old AXE is 5K-0 according to the sticker on it. When I ordered, the only option in the drop down menu for Club Car was either 36v v-glide or 48v v-glide so being I have a 48 volt cart, I selected "48v v-glide".

I emailed the vendor today and should hear something tomorrow because he's been excellent with customer service in my experience. Is there any draw back or negative consequences to consider with switching the wires as instructed above? If it's that cut and dry, I guess that could be what I'm told to do. Any wiring changes to the controller itself or just at the v-glide? Cart is in sig.

Do yourself a favor and change the controller throttle selection in the easy to use free toolkit program. The SR controller has the throttle program you need in it... you just have to select and save it - it's really that simple.

Alltrax Toolkit Download & Manual

Please note that after any change in the controller is made the SET tab must be clicked. The SET tab will turn from gray to blue. Wait until the tab turns back to gray before leaving the page. This process must be repeated for each page you make changes on.
To be sure the changes you set took, close the program, unplug the usb cable, replug the usb cable, and reopen the toolkit. Check to see the changes you made are now in the settings. Close the program and disconnect the usb cable at the controller.
Always disconnect the usb communication cable at the Alltrax controller end first. In the event that the usb cable is disconnected from the laptop first and then dropped into the battery pack, the controller can be irreversibly damaged. Such damage is not covered under any warranty.
