Pds aftermarket controller question?
2005 bone stock pds 36v
I am looking to upgrade my stock controller for a little more top speed and take off power. Im looking at the alltrax xct400 and maby a set of 2 or 4 gauge wires? My question is if I purchase this controller and wire set And I decide maybe next season to convert my cart to 48 volt will I have to send this controller back in for a upgrade also will the battery cable set work? |

Re: Pds aftermarket controller question?
Also does anyone know where to get the best price on one of these controllers? I seen them listed a couple months ago for 375 shipped but I can't seem to find them at that price anymore

As for the cables set: 8V batteries have both terminals on the same side, so they need longer interconnecting cables. Get the cables for 8V batteries and use them on the 6V batteries you now have. The coil is voltage specific on most solenoids, but the one I use (MZJ400 - 400A continuous/1000A peak) works on 36V, 42V and 48V, so get one of them and you won't have to replace it when you go to 48V. Contact Scotty at Carts Unlimited and he will set you up for 36V now and 48V later. |

Re: Pds aftermarket controller question?
All the newer Alltrax use a USB type A to USB type B cable (same cable you can use for your printer). Older model from Alltrax (DCX and AXE) used a DB9 serial connection. The new setup is much more convenient, cable always works, zero port configuration needed, can power & program controllers on the bench easily.

Re: Pds aftermarket controller question?
The goal is 30mph on 12 inch wheels 205-40-12 i think?
I'm thinking the alltrax 400 amp controller heavy duty solenoid 2 gauge cables and 48 volt conversion should get me there? |
