2001 Club Car DS 48V won't move
New to carts. I have this cart since March 2017. It has run well in the past did however have to put a new battery in because a cable got loose and melted terminal at that time I replace all the battery cables as well. Kids use it most of the time. They were using it and it stopped working they had a friend tow it home with a 4 wheeler at low speed but unfortunately they didn't put it in neutral. Since then it won't move. I went on youtube (video someone else on here put up) and did the test that I could. Everything seemed to check out until I unplugged obc to jump motor it should have ran but it didn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The degree of damage caused by towing will vary depending on whether the cart is a Regen/Sepex or Series. Go to THIS ARTICLE and advise what type it is.

Re: 2001 Club Car DS 48V won't move
It won't affect a series car at all if you tow it, regardless of what position the shifter lever is in. The series cars do not have electronic motor braking. The electronic braking is what damages the motor when they are towed while in the RUN position (sepex cars).
Let's start at the basics. Does the solenoid click when you press the accelerator and try to go? |

Inspect the connections on your F&R switch. I suspect you have a melted post. You may have to remove it from the body to look at the front of the switch. When the contacts get hot and melt they sink into the switch and no longer make a connection.

Ok checked the switch looks like there is some melting. I will replace and let you know if it worked. Should I be looking for anything else in terms of what caused the switch to melt?
