Mode 1. It should come set to mode 1 from the factory.

Not Ranger batteries. They're 160 AH so probably the step below T-875s.

I would use mode 5. I was told by dpi that the only difference between the modes for the trojan flooded batteries was the safety timer due to the different amp hour ratings. Setting the dip switches is confusing because the instructions were written for a horizontal orientation but the switches are vertical on the gen IV charger. There are some updates to the instructions in the PDF on their website.

While you are facing the front of the charger you can lay it on the right side. Then the instructions for the horizontal switch settings and led positions work without converting to the vertical orientation. Make sure the correct leds for the mode you set flash when you plug the charger into the cart.

Crash and ncpw, the new dpi chargers are different than the older ones. Lots more modes and their new default mode 1 is for Crown batteries. I believe mode 5 is the correct one in this case.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know they added more modes.

Ok I wanted to put this information out there. I called DPI and the man I spoke with told me to use Mode 6. Said something about safety timer? I don't know about all this battery charging so just wanted the information out ther. What is the difference between mode 5 and 6?

I don't know if they're up to date, but:
