Loading Club Car in 3/4 ton Pickup
I was wondering about using my full bed pickup to haul my club car. Any thoughts on this idea? What ramps should I use to load the cart?
Thanks, buzzy1 |

Sturdy, heavy duty long ones that are connected somehow to the truck.

Reese 1500 pound arched aluminum loading ramps work great on my non lifted precedent.

Check out http://longramps.com.
They are expensive but they make long ones specifically for golf carts. |

Re: Loading Club Car in 3/4 ton Pickup
I have a 3/4 ton Chevy pickup and an EZGO with 5” lift and rear seat. I tried two different sets of 6’ ramps from Harbor Freight and neither one was up to the task. Both failed in one way or another, not to mention the incline was too great to load on flat ground without scraping the hitch that hangs off the back seat. Those 7.5’ curves ones look promising, but I just gave in and bought a trailer.

The small 5 x 8 trailer I bought to haul my CC has been in constant use for other things as well. I don't know how I lived without it. Loading the cart on the trailer is a whole lot safer than ramps. |

You don't say what truck you have, but most trucks nowadays are so high off the ground it makes the task dangerous. A trailer is the way to go. However, I understand this is not always an option. Just make sure the ramps are secure and you won't bottom out. That is the most important part.

Re: Loading Club Car in 3/4 ton Pickup
I use to use a trailer. I sold it. When I bot my new F-150 I ordered it with a 6.5' bed and the factory Ford ramps. They work great. What this pic doesn't show is that I have a steel bar bolted across the top front of the bed. (I had the bar installed just after this pic was taken) The bar has an eyelet welded to it so I can attach a clevis and then I use my carts winch to pull the cart on the truck. Much safer than driving.
