First golf cart
Hi all, been doing a good bit of reading here. Father in law just gave us his cart, 2005 DS AQ.. model. His batteries were stolen so I went out this weekend and picked up 6 Trojan T-875's. The lights were wired up somehow to a switch via a relay (see pics below). I wired to two batteries but I think I'm going to go ahead and order a 48v reducer so I can install stereo, accessory lighting, etc. Any specific things I need to look for or gotchas to avoid in terms of reducers? Plan to lift and put some new wheels on as well. Planning on changing the gear oil and greasing all fittings today. Thanks.

Also- 16v is too much for most lights. They won’t last long. Club Car DS driver’s club #59 |

Re: First golf cart
I'll definitely wire it up as instructed, and yeah I figured that voltage was probably not good for the lights, etc. Looking to get that straightened out asap
Thanks for the feedback. |
