Meter was set on continuity and that's what it read..

The video shows checking the small terminals first for continuity then energize them and check for continuity between the large terminals, which is different from the test I was shown earlier.

Sorry, just bummed I've spent 100 on solenoids and now have to spend another 100 for more.

That is a peculiar meter You have there, when the slide switch is set to continuity, the max range is 320Ω and the meter shows that instead of 0L (open line, infinity resistance).
Probably because continuity test is more about the audible buzzer than actual readings. Try again in regular ohms scales (Move the slider to ON). |

I'm not familiarly with that meter, it looks to me like the top knob should be pointed to the ohms test at the bottom of the turn. I may be wrong, it just looks that way to me.????
