Re: After Market Upgrade Motor for 81 EZGO 36 Volt
You can lift that cart and it can be a beast with more power than you know what to do with. Block lift the rear and you can probably use a TXT drop axle for the front. I've even seen a few A-arm fronts either grafted from ATV's or homemade. Anything is possible with $$$. Yes, don't forget the $$$. Also, don't forget you're dealing with a 28 year old cart so if you put alot of $$$ in it don't expect to get 'em back out. Sky's the limit tho' with enough time/$.
Just got to thinking....it is a four wheeler right? |

Re: After Market Upgrade Motor for 81 EZGO 36 Volt
yeah, its a 4 wheeler...
I was hoping to get out on the cheaper side...obviously, given its supreme age... w/ a new set of 6 - 6volt batteries, an EMP motor rebuild to 3.5 hp, and new resistors, lift, wheels, tires...you feel I'll have plenty of power. thats like 400 lbs of batteries, 300lbs of me, and god knows how much the all metal tank body weighs. |

Re: After Market Upgrade Motor for 81 EZGO 36 Volt
sounds like I'm establishing the foundation for a long term headache.
I only bought this thing because the body style nearly exactly matched a 2 stroke I had already customized. The 2 stroke is too loud at my campground...so feeling like I could take my custom seats, and tires, and wheels, and lift kit across made me think perhaps I should undertake this Sounds like it'll cost too much money to bring this sucka back to acceptable life. Maybe it'd just better serve someone w/ community needs, as opposed to farm/off road needs. |
