I have some play in my axle
I have a 2008 ezgo PDS cart and noticed on the drivers side I have some back and forth play in the axle. I pulled both wheels, drums and also the nuts with cotter pins off. On the passenger side I have no play but on the drivers side it moves back and forth. I was thinking maybe a bad inner axle bearing. Any thoughts?
Thanks |

Re: I have some play in my axle
The inner bearing is not press-fit. It stays in place when axle is pulled.
The outer bearing is press-fit and is located by an inner and outer snap ring. In addition to bad bearings, it could be a damaged or missing snap ring, or outer bearing isn't tight on axle. Here is a manual for the rear end assembly. |
