Note- Seriously though, the LEL of hydrogen gas is only 4%, so it does not take much of an ignition source to make it go BOOM! |

Yes, another oversight for today. Thank you, and I did not see it while I was snapping the photo.

Re: Early 95 DS 48v V-Glide POT
Well here's the one in the cart. I see a broken resistor already. And it looks much worse in person than it does in this photo.

Re: Early 95 DS 48v V-Glide POT
That broken resistor (may be 2) and the salt/moisture corrosion is 100% the problem....
You can still save it, but I would replace all of those resistors due to moisture contamination and integrity concerns. They are cheap if you have a Radio Shack near by or you can just order them in strips from Mouser and throw the extras in the drawer for next time.... |

Re: Early 95 DS 48v V-Glide POT
I have been working thru the same issue on my 95 (in another thread) and Nole has been a great help. The pictures and info from both Nole, Sergio and Mooncarter have been a great help. Thank you all for your wisdom and advice. This is a great forum !

The reality is, Sergio and Nole are the true experts. Those two and a select few others really know their stuff. I just do what I'm told and hope to learn something in the process. Heck. One time Nole even let me hold a flashlight so he could see better. |

I am using it until we can get some better lighting in this shop.
