Default Yet another braking question - advice appreciated

Howdy - 2008.5 Precedent, all stock, not lifted, 12" Atlas wheels with 20" tires. Recently had the maintenance guys at my club replace my brake lines after one snapped. It was fine for a bit, but now when I go to park, the parking brake will not catch. It's becoming more than annoying, as I live on a hilly course and am often "leaning" the cart on something to ensure it doesn't run off. I've adjusted the cable, but it just isn't catching.

I've done some reading, and see there is a simple fix to try where you heat a piece up and bend it upwards and hope it will catch. The other fix involves replacing the pedals. I am planning a backseat soon, so I really want to make sure it's safe above all else.

Would like some opinions on my options - I have pedal group 1, so I was thinking upgrading to a pedal group 2 and MCOR 4 with new parts may be a good option? Pedals work fine now, MCOR is smoothly operating, so if I am missing a simpler fix, please let me know.

Thank you! RD

Hey! I have an '06 with the same exact issue. Pedal Group 1. Trying to figure out how to even get the pedal group out of the floor is challenging because everything is so corroded.
What did you end up doing, do you have any advice?
Hope you got yours fixed.
