Windshield question
My '84 Marathon came with a folding windshield. The plexi is in good shape, but the hinge is not.
What's your opinion: put a piano hinge on (which I think would look weird) or buy a new windshield? Is there another type of hinge you might recommend if you think it's worth it? Thanks, Pat |

Re: Windshield question
What's the rest of the cart look like. If the cart looks "used", then I would go with a piano hinge. It won't look out of place. That what they used to use anyway, isn't it? If you have a custom cart, then I would probably spring for a new windshield.

Re: Windshield question
Thanks for the info. And, to answer your question Spoiled, it's a beater but I'm fixing it up. The body's in really good condition - no dents or dings - but the paint's rough. I already got some rattle-can paint for it - hammered finish forest green. I carpeted it, too. I'm gonna build a flatbed for the back out of the frame for the rear seat.
I'll check out those links on the hinges. Thanks, Pat |
