2 stroke question
First off, hello. I've been poking through old threads for awhile, and have found lots of good and helpful information. We've had an 87 marathon for some time that i finally fixed up.
Anyways, it sees usage at camp, and there is quite a bit of hills there. My mom is unhappy with it going up hills, I read that a shorter belt would help. (Dayco HP3004 i think). Also, the carb is completely shot, the idle mixture screw is missing, huge amounts of play in the throttle shaft, and the blade is all marked up. I was wondering if you think the shorter belt and the new carb is worth it? many thanks in advance Edit: Also, how hot should these be running? I got around 230 in between the fins on the jug |

Re: 2 stroke question
The missing idle screw may be making it run lean check the plug color you don't want to seize moms ride or there will be no meatloaf for you.
