Re: dcs vs series
So, the consensus is it can be done and probably the only added expense would be the motor. Everything else I planned on taking to 48 volt anyway.

Re: dcs vs series
Basically, yeah.
Oh and Scotty, it's way better to go to the solenoid F&R when converting a DCS cart into a Series Cart...... the F&R assembly, rod and handle will cost almost as much as the pair of HD solenoids, but the solenoids will outlast the wear and tear of the mechanical F&R ...... AND, us arthritic people don't have to worry about trying to swing that shifter lmao.... |

Re: dcs vs series
Good, so what is all this gonna cost? 500a controller, I might get a used motor because it seems like a lot of people say the stock motors hold up decent? Maybe I am wrong. Also getting rid of the fnr linkage, if I was following that correctly, shoot me some numbers!

Re: dcs vs series
Thanks Scotty. Are those any particular model solenoids?

Re: dcs vs series
I personally use the White Rodgers 586 solenoids for most all applications.
Scotty actually cleaned up the diagram for me quite a bit.... let me find it...... |

Re: dcs vs series
I built a 48volt dcs with a toggle f/r for a handicapped friend. It was fast enough and plenty of torque, cost was comparible, used stock motor, still outrunning neighborhood carts today. except mine
