Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
OK here is what I think .
1. I doubt that it is the solenoid , since if it dropped out the cart would stop. 2. I doubt it is the Cables , due to the fact if they were too small , the problem would show up as excessive heat in cables and U have not mentioned this. 3. If resistor were installed wrong or defective U would see EXCESSIVE Arching when solenoid closes. 4. If the diode were installed back-wards you would have probably (possible) either blown a fuse or a controller board. So whats left , Motor and controller ??? Call their Tech Support and see if you can Use your old motor to test and see if they sent a bad motor. If U have the same problem then Ask Tech Support if you can use your old controller to test and see if they sent a bad controller. If U have the same problem then ........... their stuff is good !!! Stay on top of Battery readings. And now replace OBC ? |

Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
It could be the SPEED SENSOR on end of motor ( defective or damaged when motor installed ) shown in Buggies site that has a wiring plug in that should be checked for corrosion and proper connection.
This was asked about by Gadavis and could be whats going on "IF" batterys are checked out good? |

Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
The other end of motor ( Im going by picture on Buggies site you posted ) shows a shunt motor ( IQ ) so you should have a F&R rocker type switch under right leg?
If not they may have sent you wrong kit or you looked at wrong site in Buggies for us to look at? |

Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
Since they sent a IQ controller , and the motor has the pig tail on it then it seems obvious
it has regen breaking and speed control which they intend for U to connect :) Thanks ! What about those battery readings ??? |

Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
DAMO Does your Club Car 2004 cart have a ( F&R rocker switch under right leg? MEANS "IQ" ) if so kit is correct for your cart, BUT IF ITS A ( F&R LEVER UNDER YOUR RIGHT LEG ITS THE WRONG MOTOR ETC? )

Re: why does my 04 48vCC pulse in power
I know this is hard on you but intermitant problems will drive you crazy. There could be one or a combination of things causing your pulsing problem?
#1 MCOR ( defect through range, does this happen while you are holding pedal in one position? ) Possible linkage wear problem causing MCOR to move slightly by cart flexing? #2 MOTOR SPEED SENSOR ( like before defective or cracked and making intermitent connection shutting down or applying brake action ) #3 WIRING CONNECTIONS #4 F & R switch ( corrosion or loose connections ) #5 Controller ( defect problem very hard to diagnose as could be turning on braking action ) #6 Solenoid ( defective?? seeing lots of Chinese manufactured problems ) #7 Diode ( on solenoid defect or loose connection ) #8 Brakes ( dragging after warming up ) #9 YES EVEN BATTERY PROBLEMS AFTER RUNNING FOR SOME DISTANCE? |
