Default 81, g1 fuel line, pump

I just tryed to get my fuel pump working, no luck, its new, fuel lines to, i primed it 4 times with blowing air in the tank, i think i used the wrong size fuel lines, 1/4 inch, should i use 5/16 size? Would that make a difference on fuel flow? And i did a comp check its a 120 psi, is that a good rateing? Thanks.

125 on the compression is new. So if you got 120 you're in good shape. Are your crank seals in good condition? The fuel pump relies on the vacuum from the bottom end for it to run properly. Just a thought.

I've read in these forums that the fuel pump is very difficult to prime with less than half a tank of gas so i would fill the tank right up to make it easier. In addition to field6565s comment, make sure the impulse line to the crankcase is not leaking anywhere. I don't think the size of the fuel line will make much of a difference, 1/4 inch line should allow plenty of fuel to the carb.

mak, not being flip here but re check your ins and outs
its easy to get turned around when installing.
Also try blowing in the tank while cranking.
