EZGO TXT stops while driving, beeps about 10 times and then is able to drive

I have a 2001 TXT 36 volt EZGO electric. When I am driving down the road, it sporatically stops, beeps about 10 times, and then you step on the accelerator and it takes off again. Sometimes it goes a block and does it again, sometimes it goes miles before it does it again. Do I need a new solenoid or control board? I keep it plugged in all the time and this symptom occurs whether it has a full charge or a weaker charge, so I cannot figure out what is causing this problem.

Sounds like you have a PDS cart. (Run/Tow switch on the controller cover)

If any of the control wires or switches breaks contact momentarily, it goes into an emergency stop mode and beeps.

Could be any of the wires.switches highlighted in red on attached schematic, but the reed switch is the most likely suspect.

so mine is doing the same thing, but I have a 48 volt that I have had converted to roypow batteries and I took the old charger plug and zip tied it to the body. I see that the link above wants me to have four wires on my charger and I only have 3 a red and the ground and power wire. Does anyone have a idea. I own a 2012 ez go l6 express. what should I do.
