Tow switch off, but still power at neg cable
When I turn the tow switch to "tow" on a '09 CC Precedent, there is still lots of spark/juice on the neg cable when reattaching after disconnecting cable. Is this normal? If not, what could cause it? Can I install a quick disconnect to overcome this issue?

Do you have a voltage reducer or any other accessory that is constantly drawing power?

Re: Tow switch off, but still power at neg cable
The only accessory added to the cart is a Power Pulse, which is the last thing to be attached to the neg side. The neg cable goes on first--which sparks when first connected. Then there is another wire from the neg battery side which goes to a sort of junction box connecting other wires, and I'm assuming those go to the ign switch and the lights. Then the Power Pulse. I'm thinking about disconnecting everything on the neg side and using a volt meter to see if there might be something grounding to the aluminum chassis. At that point I guess I can also check the current drop when the tow switch is in the on/off position. As a last resort, I can install a battery kill switch between the neg wire and neg battery post. Other than this pesky problem, the cart runs great. Thanks.

Re: Tow switch off, but still power at neg cable
I purchased a 48v PowerPulse from ChargingChargers for an older cart with failing batteries. They were still going strong after 5 yrs. Maybe it was the PowerPulse or maybe just good luck.
