Newbie with Questions
Hi I just took the plunge a bought an 86 marathon... Oh well sometimes I forget to bring my brain with me...
SO far I have figured out my local dealer doesn't know much about the 2 cycle carts.... and had to figure out an air leak (thanks to you guys) turned out to be loose nuts between the top end and case... NOW it RUNS!!!!! Big question... what kind of iol should I use in the injection system???? Not mission critical (yet). Second is there a place where I can view manuals, service and/or parts, online. Also what is the correct battery for this cart? The last owner has a monster battery in the bottom of this plywood thing built onto the back of the cart that looks like an outhouse.... Thanks in advance for any info... Andy |

Hey 98 I don't know much about your cart but if it's anything like an EZ GO there should be a spot under the driver seat where the battery should go maybe the battery tray rusted out?? But if you will hold tight I'm sure the guys here on the board will let your know something more definite. Welcome to the board by the way!

Re: Newbie with Questions
I just stripped the outhouse off. Right now the battery is sitting on the rear floor. Iwill have to get a smaller battery to relocarte it back to where it blongs. The one that is in it is about 3 inches too big to fit in the battery tray.
Thanks for the picture... I ws trying to sort out what turns out to be the gov cable that was not hooked up at the carb... No matter the other end ids missing parts too... I'll just have to suffer at 20+ mph I have to sort out the brakes... I pulled the drums, plenty of lining, not much stopping (I feel like fred flinstone with the urge to drag my feet!!) I think I may have a stuck cable... or the adjuster is not pulled up tight. I assume that the adjustment is similar to a car... just beginning to touch but not grab... |
