Thanks mgray70! I wear the badge of amateur proudly- lol. The batt frame is 1x1x1/8 angle and the suspension cross bars are 1x2x1/8 square tube.

Good work. I picked up a marathon in similar shape and have the same idea as you, get it lifted and running. Looking forward to more pics!

So, to make the better half of my life feel at ease about how long this project has taken, I decided to skip makin my front end lift and go strait for proving this dang thing works. I made up a controls mount from scrap Stainless Steel I had and then fiddled around till it fit close to factory. Got all the temp wiring done so after a few hours...... BAM! Realized my batts were stone cold DEAD!!!
I guess leaving my batts in the shed for 6 months wasn't a good idea... they were so dead I had to add almost 2gals of water and rewire the pack into two groups of 3 under parallel so I could charge them on 6v for hours and hours. Now, after 3 days of intense charging I was able to rewire all 6 batts back into series and voila'!!!! My 36v charger saw enough load that it kicked on and gave them suckas a good deep cycle charge they deserved! Btw- the one photo from the rear of cart is actual ride height. I gotta cut the shock mounts off from stock location and move em down to new cross bars. That'll keep the factory ride feel lol! 5 days after getting the batteries placed, fully charged again, controls mounted & wired... I hit the ole' FNR to F, & pushed my potentiometer to hear that sweet sound of working success! Flipped it to reverse and shot it again! Gotta say it was a great moment of victory! I made a video AND had the wifey onsite to witness the glory! She wasn't as impressed because it still isn't done BUT she can at least relax just a tincy weancy bit- it works. Lol, and now maybe I can get a little better sleep too now that she isn't riding my arse that it don't work...... yeah right, what am I saying: Ain't no rest for the weary here!

I'm now back to mockin up the front 3 link suspension but that ones gunna be a challenge---

More pics of progress... all front end shots are zip ties mock ups lol. Got more ideas on how to mount the links but that will be comin soon. Would love to find links to other builds but it takes so much time searching that not sure I have time for- so if anybody has threads elsewhere they watch for the same set ups , PLEASE by all means do share here!! !!!
