Re: Ezgo Smoke at harness
Top 2 kills with failed/backward diode are gas pedal switch and reed switch in charge port.

Re: Ezgo Smoke at harness
Opened up pedal box because pedal micro switch was no longer clicking (it was still clicking after diode was installed backwards). The metal arm on switch was not catching switch.. instead of pressing against contact it is now catching pedal linkage and opening opposite direction (instead of making contact it is being opened or bent back towards rear of cart). Should this part of switch be loose or freely opening the opposite direction? Hope this makes sense without a picture if not I will take one tomorrow and send. It's like the box is not aligned with linkage but I have not adjust anything. While I was under cart i was moving linkage to engage the micro switch but i don't think that would cause a problem?

Re: Ezgo Smoke at harness
Please see pictures of switch being forced back the opposite direction. Does the pedal linkage need to be adjusted or could the switch be bad mechanically? Not sure how this type switch operates mechanically?

Re: Ezgo Smoke at harness
Switch should like below. I believe that your linkage needs to be adjusted. With the Pedal all the way up the plunger should be right at the edge of the its.

Re: Ezgo Smoke at harness
The arm on your switch is bent out and has a sharp right angle bend in it. It should lay more parallel to the body of the switch and the end will be pushed nearer to the switch body when the larger diameter portion of the plunger contacts the roller on the tip as it moves.
