When I did my batteries I took pictures, made diagrams, printed diagrams off BGW. I double and triple checked before making the final connection. Even then I crossed my fingers. Hope it wasn't too costly of a mistake.

Same here, everyday when the phone rings, I get the same story, then when it comes in the shop, those two black cables are crossed. I'll reiterate that I'm not picking on the OP here, just stating the facts as I know them.

A silver sharpie or another color to mark the cable will save someone such headache. Heck, one of my older mechanics way back when would use an alligator clip either red or black depending upon what he was working on, he'd clip the eyelets together just so he knew.

I'd be lying if I said I never smoked a control. The new Alltrax XCT and SR line of controls with reverse polarity protection is the best thing that ever happened to DIY golf cart upgrades.

Bread ties through the wire rings here.. Those 2 black wires coming out of the bottom of the controller box can get swapped easily..

I use white tie wraps on the + side and black ones on the- side.
