Default Battery meter install question - 2012 RXV

Looking for some help on how to properly install my digital state of charge meter. The positive and negative is straightforward. The "C" gets wired to the key switch which is where I am stuck. I see 4 wires running into the connector on the key switch, green, white, yellow, red.

Do I splice into one of these wires?

Any help is appreciated.

That meter is not the one you want. You need a digital led volt meter. And I know that on a RXV you do not want to wire anything in to the key switch. One of the RXV guys will have to help you on the best place to wire the meter

That would be the red wire. The yellow is 48V into the keyswitch, red is keyswitch out (KSI) to the controller, white and green are F/R direction select to the controller.

Mine is wired straight to the batteries. Not sure if thats a good way but it seems to work OK.

I've got a txt but I'll be a plus 1 on the straight to the battery. It's always on but I like it that way. Anytime I walk by the cart I can see exactly what voltage its at.

Do Not Touch the keyswitch wires. Run the B+ & B- to the pack main + & -, wire the keyswitch wire to the large solenoid terminal that goes from the solenoid to the controller. On a Rxv, the solenoid is on whenever the key is on any position other than Off. This is the safest way to do it on a Rxv. I have replaced some controllers from people messing with the wires.

Take the black plastic controller cover off the passenger side (the plastic panel with tow/run switch), then snap a close up pic that includes the controller & the passenger side batteries. I will illustrate.

I totally understand why others do not want to recommend for you to splice wires. So many ppl mess up and cause damage. RXVs are not forgiving to mistakes. But if you want to install the digital meter in the dash, there is a decent amount of work to get access to run 3 wires from a voltmeter in the dash, down to the floorboard, through the wiring channel under the floor mat, and into the rear body to connect to the batteries and solenoid. Then you have to put it back together. You can pick up the KSI signal for the C wire at the small terminal on the solenoid with the red wire by using a ring terminal. At least that wire is fused with a 7 amp fuse. The large ring terminal is not fused. I went a different route, but I have a lot of experience with making splices that hold up
