Default Ez go converter

Can you wire in a 12 volt radio without using a converter using the 12 volt source and ground from the headlight circuit ?
it is a 36 volt EZGO the headlight switch in the key switch.
Thanks
Mark

Can you, or should you, is the better question. Yes, you can, but probably shouldn't. Here's why, the 2 batteries that supply light (and your radio) power get out of balance with the other four batteries. When you charge and discharge batteries in series, battery health and life depend on the batteries staying at a even state of charge with its neighbors. When 2 batteries are "robbed" of more power than the other 4, those 2 never get fully charged, and the other 4 get overcharged (reducing their life). Keep in mind that when charging in series, each battery is offered the same amount of charge, even if if is lower or higher than its neighbor.
