Default EZGO Marathon (1986) seat replacement

I've searched the forum here, searched amazon, google, etc. and can't seem to find an actual replacement seat for an 86 EZGO Marathon. I can find 'covers', but not the seat replacement itself. The previous owner has a piece of plywood with a cushion attached held down by rope. Hoping to improve on that.

Don't feel too bad, EZGO has a very poor web site for finding their products. You almost have to do a search for a lot of their products.

200 bucks for a seat. Ouch. Maybe I'm better off just cutting a new one myself from plywood. Any ideas on a way to fasten it down?

Both of my Marathon carts did not have the seats fastened down. Gravity held them in place. The wood in the bottoms rotted so they are shot now.

I have a 95 ezgo and did not want to spend 200 on seats as well. Bought all material to do so and then added it all up and was just about the same cost. Adding it all up after buying resulted in extra driving to return. Its easier and looks allot better to purchase after market stock seats.

Give Mike a call at M2 Seats - VERY high-quality work, You can pick your colors, etc and his turnaround is generally only a day or so (the above is one of his auctions) ... I've used him for years and have had seats sit on "outdoor" carts for several seasons, winter, summer, etc and never had one fail yet.
