LOUD squeak from front end... is it common?
When driving my cart on varied terrain, there's a loud and I mean HIDEOUSLY LOUD squeak that comes from the front end somewhere when I hit a bump or small dip of a certain magnitude.
I've been trying to figure it out and had no luck so far. I did notice that if I push forward on my steering wheel hard enough to move the whole column a little, it sometimes makes the noise...and I'm guessing there's enough play in it to cause the noise when I'm driving over bumps. My PDS has the steering wheel with three bolts at the base. Does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone? Is there a master bolt I can tighten on the rack? |

Re: LOUD squeak from front end... is it common?
I would say having a loud, hideous squeak is not normal for the cart, no. Squeaks can come from many places, worn steering rack, anywhere the bushings are gone or missing, possibly a bearing. It's hard to tell without you investigating more. I don't believe you can adjust the steering rack. You can rebuild it or replace it if it's bad.
