Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
I've never been a fan of the NCX controllers.
The NCX has an LED status indicator - below are the codes What does the controller say? |

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
Is the NCX controller a new install, or did you just replace the solenoid?
Does green LED blink 4 times and then go to steady green? I'll be back in the morning. |

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
The led blinks like it should on start up, its throwing no codes I checked the micro switch it shows power on one side and nothing on the other until pedal is pressed. The solinoid will not engage when pedal is pressed it does when I turn the tow switch on and of and when I switch from forward to reverse what else could I check

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
The solenoid clicking when controller powers up is normal.
LED turning yellow when pedal is on floor is also normal. If the LED does, in fact, flash green four times when controller powers up, I'm fairly certain the problem is the controller is not getting the input signal (battery pack voltage) from the pedal switch. Attached is a schematic of a DCX (NPX is a non-programmable DCX) with pedal switch circuit highlighted. Since the controller is powering up, the problem location is limited to the wires attached to J4 in the adapter and in the cart's wiring harness. Not shown in schematic is an in-line 4-pin connector between cart's wiring harness and 4-wire cable coming out of pedal box. |

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
The fact that the controller powers up eliminates most of the red lines.
The pedal switch gets its voltage from the same wire that feed Pin-6 on top of controller, so you only have to check the red lines going to the pedal switch from that point forward, through the pedal switch and then to Pin-5 on the controller. |

Re: Ezgo pds problems no go!
You may have to slightly lift the 10-pin connector on top of the NCX controller to measure the voltages on the pins.
What are the actual voltages measured on Pins 5, 6, 7, 9 & 10? (Run/Tow in RUN, Keyswitch ON and F selected on F/R switch.) |
