How do I increase hill climbing speed
I have a ezgo 36v series that has enough power on the straights but is lagging on the hills. It has a curtis 350amp controller and batteries are a year old. Where should I start without a huge upgrade? Thx!

Re: How do I increase hill climbing speed
48v and upgrade the whole drive system(controller, cables f/r switch and solinoid) is the easy answer...series carts loose the most uphill speed compared to all the various drive types....stock size tires(18")are helpful...
i have one like yours and i did 2g cables,hd f/r switch,hd solinoid and stock controller and still 36v...it is better uphill-but not by alot....in the future when i need a new pack-i will go 48v and a 500a controller from scottyB......... |

Re: How do I increase hill climbing speed
I went from 36V to 42V, I already had a alltrax controller, beefed up solenoid, I switched to 2 gauge wiring and added the extra 6v battery. I go up intercoastal waterway bridges, used to be about 14-15mph with two people now is about 20mph . One battery is easy
I was also in the market for a DPI charger anyways so it made it even easier to buy a 42v charger instead of 36v and just buy another battery |

Re: How do I increase hill climbing speed
With series carts, more volts and more amps are the only way to see significant increases.
