New batteries will probably be the best thing you can do for your performance on hills.
The next best thing would be to put in 2 more 6volt batteries to run it at 48Volts that will give 33% more power. It would be a shame to upgrade to 36v stuff then want to go 48v later You may be surprised how much just new batteries help  |
