no ... i use this set up on my work cart (with out radio )

i do remember Sergio posting this

A +12v ignition/switched "trigger" wire (sometimes small gauge) that tells the radio to power the amp.

I thing the best option is to get a charger relay (under $10) and wire your converter to provide both switched and constant +12v

Get +48v from the pack thru a "long term storage" on/off switch located near the Tow/run switch so you won't forget to turn it off.

That switch will provide power to the +48v input of the converter and the trigger wire if available.

Run The +12v output of the converter to anything that needs constant power (like your radio).

Run another wire from the +12v output of the converter to one side of the charger relay NO switch.

The other side of the relay NO switch provides switched power for lights, horn, turn signal, radio trigger, etc...

The charger relay coil is wired to the key switch so all accessories (including radio, but without losing memory) go off when you turn the key switch off.

ScottyB's reducer works up to 60 volts, if I recall.

I just took the cart out for a spin, as soon as I put it in reverse the radio loses power until I hit the gas pedal again.

that was with a full charge, as soon as I hear the click for forward or reverse, lights out for the radio. If I change it fast enough it only flickers in and out

there is the problem
the key is in the control circuit
it cuts power to reducer when it is turned on/off or when you go from forward to neutral to reverse
remove it from key and move it to main pack positive (like my diagram)
this will leave it on all the time

The RXV DC-DC Converter that I bought from Eddie on eBay (fits the factory E-Z-GO RXV accessory harness connector) has 6 connections.

1. 48V Input
2. Ignition (switch sense)
3. Ground Input
4. Unswitched 12V Output (radio memory)
5. Switched 12V Output
6. Ground Output

It's a Sure Power model 41020C10UL

Dunno if that helps with anything
