Or if I am not getting the performance I should be then I have room to grow with the stock motor and be safe?
That tire size works out to 18.8" tall, but the number on the sidewall are only approximate, so the actual height could be an inch in either direction. The numbers on my tires say they are 18" tall, the Carlisle website says their mounted diameter is 18.3" but they only measure 17".

With 18.8" tall tires, the motor will have to spin at 7785RPM for the cart to go 35MPH. A stock DCS motor in perfect condition will only reach about 7100RPM turning 18" tires and won't spin quite that fast turning 18.8" tires. In other words, your cart cannot reach 35MPH with a stock DCS motor.

Basically, a motor balanced and banded for at least 9000RPM and has more than stock torque is needed, perhaps PQ has something that would do the job. I'd contact EMP, Admiral (Scotty) and D&D also.

Other than a Throttle Rate of 80% might make the pedal a bit touchy in tight places, I don't see anything wrong.

The best setting varies with the way the cart is set up (Tire height, pack voltage, rear seat, type motor, etc and driver preference.)

When the throttle rate is set to 80% in my XCT, my cart surges harshly on bumpy ground because my size 16 foot bounces on the pedal, so I had to adjust the throttle rate to less than 25% to get rid of that annoyance. IIRC, I have it set to 14% currently, but that will likely change as I tweak the throttle settings a bit more this summer.

The throttle rate controls how much time delay there is between a physical movement of the pedal and an electrical response from the controller.
