Re: High speed too soon
Have all that, Did all that when I rebuilt the Potentiometer. I will work on the model but I would believe it is original. I was hoping I missed something. BTW if I can be of any help on Cushman truckster stuff. I use to teach classes in pre 1995 stuff as well as sold them and fixed them.
Thank you for all your help. |

Re: High speed too soon
Have you tested the output of the controller to the motor?

Re: High speed too soon
The important part to make sure is that the resistance between the Terminals changes from 0L (Pedal UP) to 0Ω before the micro-switch closes and stays 0Ω until the pad moves to the 910Ω resistor.
If that is OK and You have a 0-5kΩ Controller, then it looks like the Controller is bad. |

Re: High speed too soon
Also, if it is a bad controller, Has anyone used the rebuilders? Any good? They appear a lot cheaper.

Re: High speed too soon
Well, I finally gave up and bought a premcor to mcor kit. Of course it is for a later model after I was assured it would work. Using parts from a donor cart to fit the new parts, I got it installed. Now it goes fast and slows down as you push the pedal. Yes, the mcor4 is backwards. 5000-0 ohms instead of 0-5000. I hope the is a part number for the correct mcor. Anybody?
