newbie question on the g1's
Yes yet another Newbie. Got an old G1 sitting in my garage. It was free!!
It runs fine. I have to put a new key on the tranny shaft. I have the large spring, and the two aluminum disc. The key and the nut on the end of the shaft are missing. Can anyone tell me what size key and nut I need. Oh yea, I'm missing the cotter pin as well. Any help would be great. Aaron Champagne |

Re: newbie question on the g1's
Okay guys, I have the back pulleys on along with the spring which is still compressed. Can anyone tell me what size nut fits on the end of the shaft. According to the serial numbers it's a 1981 G1. I have an extra lug nut from my Airstream on there now. I have it hand tight just enough to hold everything in place. I have tried several different types including metric course and fine thread. Any help would be great.

Re: newbie question on the g1's
I picked up a 1980 G1 and the screws fell out of the magneto and trashed the flywheel and windings. Got to ride it for about 15 min. Need parts ASAP. Can anyone help.
