Any areas under the seat around the motor that you should try to avoid getting wet? My g8 has probably never been cleaned under there and i would like to clean it also after reading this post?

It's never good to get electrical connections wet, but....we high pressure wash every car that comes in for service, it's part of the service (mostly because I don't want to work on a filthy car, from mud, chicking crap to tree branches). Seems the biggest problem with high pressure washing is the starter and drive belts get wet, but they do dry out and operate fine.

I wouldn't either if I lived in a desert.
