G29 - how much lift for 22 inch tires
I found some wheels/tires I like for my YDRE
How much lift is required for a 22 inch street tire? Do I have to go 6 inches? Cory |

Re: G29 - how much lift for 22 inch tires
Since you said street tire; this doesn't answer your question but a factory 2" Yamaha lift (pt #GCA-JC150-00-00) will allow 21" tires. I installed 255/50-12 (21") tires which have enough sidewall to help with the cushioning of the ride. See pictures. I have a close friend who is a Yamaha dealer and got mine at his cost at $307. Here is a link to a kit on eBay for $299. This is a quality lift kit and the turning radius remains the same as stock. Easy to install. Sorry, more than 2 cents there.

Re: G29 - how much lift for 22 inch tires
I am wondering if the 2" Yamaha Drive lift kit will work on the newer Drive2 AC Electric cart? My local dealer is no help.

They are no help because Yamaha will neither confirm nor deny if it fits, leaving the dealer or end user to gamble with their own money to find out.

Corey, to answer your question no you do not need a 6" lift to fit 22's. I used a 4" lift and have plenty of clearance.
